I've been shopping at flea markets and rummage sales since I can remember, thanks to my mom and her mom for instilling the bargain hunting bug at an early age. I still recall finding this vintage pearl collar in a bin of jewels and scarves at one such sale — it was fill-a-bag for $5! — I didn't know when or how I would wear it, but I knew it was elegant worth the mere pocket change it was going for. I'm always on the hunt for pretty vintage pieces like this now. Etsy, purveyor of online vintage glory, has some beautiful ones ... like this one similar to mine, or slightly more ornate like this stunner! Perfect for adding a little extra sparkle to holiday outfits.
