The simplest way to transition from summer to fall is to layer. There's no need to tuck summer dresses away until next year, adding a top (or a sweater or jacket) makes this lightweight maxi a year-round piece (some tights or leggings will add extra warmth when temps drop further). This week is supposed to be cooler than last, dropping into the 50s in a few days. Until then, I'm rocking open toed shoes for as long as I can, since it's only a matter of time before my feet will be confined to heavy duty socks and boots.
