When Steve and I were in Paris last fall, we stayed in the Marais neighborhood, known for having great little vintage shops. After our daily café and pain au chocolat, I loved browsing the racks for fun, French fashions, accessories and gifts. I came across one shop with a rack of quintessential French striped shirts for around $10 each, so I sifted through for the best ones to give as gifts — some with beautiful button details, unique cuts or pretty french labels on the sleeves — and came away with as many as I could fit into my suitcase. I kept one for myself, this great Saint James "Naval II" shirt. I live in this shirt, pairing it with jeans, tucked into pleated skirts or throwing it over dresses.
After visiting, it's hard to put into words all of the reasons I love Paris ... so I will show you a few of my French faves!
