Since this week was just plain hot, I'm topping it off with one of my
summer skirts. I figured by mixing it with a year-round material like
denim, it could be October-friendly. I got this skirt years ago (when that Daisy Fuentes line first came out at Kohl's—pretty much when Kohl's itself started popping up in the Chicago area), and I like that it incorporates
a vibrant color without being overpowering. And speaking of summer
attire, looks like I will be sporting it all weekend. Steve and I had
plans to go apple picking — a perfectly appropriate autumn activity —
but with a forecast calling for lo to mid 80s, there goes my cute "autumn-adventure-shawl-and-boots" ensemble. Heck, maybe we hit the beach instead.
