When I was treasure hunting at the flea market last weekend, I kept spotting dainty deco jewelry – lovely necklaces dripping in vintage rhinestones and metals. Since I didn't come for the jewels this time (though I couldn't pass up this pretty pink necklace), I just admired and instead started a new hunt for cheaper options. I stopped in Temptation on Michigan avenue – an incredibly cheap and amazing mecca of accessories – and found these sparkly substitutes for around $4 each. The gunmetal and rhinestone combination gives these affordable finds a vintage look, and even the best bargaining skills wouldn't get me down to this price with any vendor.

thanks for the heads up about the La Mers! I managed to snag a pink one seconds before they sold out! What a gratifying feeling! Love your blog by the way. I live in Greektown and it's a bit frightening how much clothing and random things I find we have in common. Braided tri color xxi necklace, black and white bird dress from urban, vince leopard wedges, black la mer watch, and citron yellow walls in our homes!(people thought I was nuts when I showed them the swatch but now they just swoon at how it turned out!) Also I just turned 30 and was a recent bride as well. Also have a serious shopping addiction for the cheap and vintage. Feel like we need to be shopping buddies! Thanks again

Sounds like we could save our pennies and just share a closet!
